A 22-year-old man was charged Tuesday with pimping a 17-year-old runaway in Anaheim.
Anthony Romeo Diaz was charged with human trafficking of a minor, pandering with a minor over 16, pimping and pandering, all felonies.
Orange County Sheriff’s Department deputies on patrol June 11 at Garza Avenue and Pacific Place in an unincorporated area bordering Anaheim encountered Diaz with two alleged victims in the backseat of the car he was driving, investigators said in court papers.
The deputies found evidence of prostitution in the vehicle and questioned the two alleged victims, investigators said.
Diaz did not enter a plea at his arraignment Tuesday in the jail courtroom in Santa Ana. He is scheduled to be arraigned April 24 in the Central Justice Center in Santa Ana.
