Hawthorne Police Department detectives Friday are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in Hawthorne.
Police were called at 12:27 a.m. Friday to the 4200 block of W. Broadway between 122nd and 126th streets regarding a shooting. When they arrived, officers found the victim, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Lt. Michael Modica.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The sheriff’s department is assisting the Hawthorne Police Department with the investigation.
