A motorist was killed in a head-on crash in Fullerton, authorities said Sunday.
Officers dispatched at 10:50 p.m. Saturday to the 600 block of West Commonwealth Avenue located a gold 2004 Toyota Corolla and a white 2009 Lexus RX350 in the roadway, both with significant front-end damage, according to Kristy Wells of the Fullerton Police Department.
The Toyota was going westbound on Commonwealth while the Lexus was traveling eastbound, and the Toyota veered into the eastbound lanes, Wells said.
Paramedics rushed both drivers to a hospital, where the driver of the Toyota died from his injuries, she said.
“It is unknown if alcohol or drugs were a contributing factor related to the driver,” Wells added.
The condition of the other driver was not provided.
