A pedestrian was fatally struck in an accident involving four vehicles in Torrance, authorities said Sunday.
The death occurred Saturday evening in the area of Pacific Coast Highway and Ocean Avenue, the Torrance Police Department reported.
The department did not disclose an approximate time of when the crash occurred.
“The collision involved multiple vehicles, and a pedestrian fell off the curb in the Pacific Coast Highway lanes,” police said.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
“During the investigation, officers arrested one individual for driving under the influence,” according to the police statement.
