A motorist was arrested on suspicion of DUI and murder for allegedly striking and killing a pedestrian in Manhattan Beach early Sunday, authorities said.
Officers dispatched at about 12:50 a.m. Sunday to the 100 block of South Sepulveda Boulevard located a victim lying in the street next to a vehicle, according to Officer Chasen Gaunt of the Manhattan Beach Police Department.
Paramedics rushed the victim to a hospital, where the person died, Gaunt said.
Jenia Belt, 33, of Los Angeles, was arrested on suspicion of DUI causing injury and murder, police said.
