A 29-year-old convicted felon pleaded guilty Thursday and was immediately sentenced to 13 years in prison for stabbing a wheelchair-bound man in the city of Orange.
Luis Anthony Guadarramagarcia pleaded guilty to attempted murder with sentencing enhancements for inflicting great bodily injury, personal use of a deadly weapon and attempted premeditated murder. He accepted a plea deal from Orange County Superior Court Judge Craig Robison.
Guadarramagarcia stabbed the victim about 7 p.m. on Aug. 5, 2022 at Tustin Street and Meats Avenue, according to Lt. Phil McMullin of the Orange Police Department.
Guadarramagarcia and the victim knew each other for years, McMullin said.
He has credit for 1,163 days behind bars.
He pleaded guilty in June of 2016 to a count of assault with a deadly weapon, robbery and criminal threats, all felonies, as well as criminal threats, resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance, all misdemeanors.
