Firefighters worked Saturday from the air and on the ground to contain a small brush fire in the Studio City area of Los Angeles.

The fire was reported at 3:36 p.m. Saturday in the 3100 block of North Coldwater Canyon Avenue near Mulholland Drive and Coldwater Canyon Park, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart. Forward progress was stopped at 4:42 p.m. with the fire held to about 2 acres near the Betty Dearing Trail.

“Los Angeles County Fire Department camp crews are responding to assist with the mop up operations,” Stewart said. “No structures damaged and no injuries reported. Firefighters will be on scene for an extended period, ensuring no hot spots remain in the isolated terrain.”
