Los Angeles Police Department officers Saturday are investigating a shooting in the Gramercy Park neighborhood that left one man dead.
Officers from the department’s 77th Division responded to reports of a shooting at 9820 South Van Ness Avenue between West 96th Street and West Century Boulevard at 10:50 p.m. Friday. When they arrived, the officers learned one of a group of several suspects approached the victim and fired several shots at him, an LAPD spokesman told City News Service.
The victim was taken to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The suspects ran away from the scene in an unknown direction,
