An apparently suicidal 19-year-old woman at a Costa Mesa (55) Freeway overpass in Orange forced the closure of all lanes Wednesday.
California Highway Patrol officers began diverting traffic around the overpass at Lincoln Avenue about 4:25 p.m. Wednesday, said Lt. Phil McMullin of the Orange Police Department.
A crisis negotiator with the Orange Police Department helped authorities take her safely into custody about 6 p.m., McMullin said.
