A 23-year-old man’s death was under investigation Monday after he was struck by a vehicle and killed over the weekend near Palmdale.
The victim, a Palmdale resident whose name was not made available, was walking east on Avenue O, west of 185th Street East, at around 10:35 p.m. Saturday.
The driver and a passenger were unhurt, according to California Highway Patrol Officer D. Tirado.
The driver was not suspected of impairment, but it remains unknown if the pedestrian was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
