An altercation led to a man being shot and killed in Norwalk Wednesday.

Deputies from the Norwalk Sheriff’s Station responded to Pioneer Boulevard and Los Alisos Circle at around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday following a report of a shooting, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

When they arrived at the residence, deputies found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics were called to the scene, where the victim was pronounced dead.

According to sheriff’s homicide investigators, the unknown suspect drew a handgun during the confrontation and shot the victim.

The name of the victim was being withheld pending notification of relatives.
