A 32-year-old woman who ran over and killed a man during a dispute in a Norco parking lot pleaded guilty Friday to voluntary manslaughter.

Aubrey McGee of Riverside admitted the felony count in a plea agreement with the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office. In exchange for the convicted felon’s admission, prosecutors agreed to drop a murder charge against McGee.

Superior Court Judge Jennifer Gerard scheduled a sentencing hearing for Aug. 29 at the Riverside Hall of Justice.

The defendant, who is being held on $1 million bail at the Robert Presley Jail, is facing more than 10 years in state prison.

She killed 57-year-old Bahman Nowrozi of Norco on July 16, 2024.

According to sheriff’s Sgt. Jarred Bishop, shortly after midnight, the defendant was involved in an unspecified conflict with Nowrozi in the parking lot of a strip mall near the intersection of Hamner and Mountain avenues.

Bishop said that during the confrontation, McGee ran over the victim, after which she did not attempt to flee.

Patrol deputies reached the location within minutes and found Nowrozi gravely injured. He was taken to a Riverside hospital, where he died a short time later.

McGee was taken into custody without incident.

A motive for the attack was unclear at the time, but the sergeant confirmed that the defendant and victim knew one another.

Court records show McGee has a prior felony conviction in another jurisdiction, but the offense wasn’t listed. At the time of her arrest, she had an unresolved misdemeanor case pending for driving on a suspended license in Riverside County.
