Police asked for the public’s help Monday in locating a man suspected of fatally shooting a 13-year-old boy who was playing video games in his Pasadena bedroom nearly four years ago.
The shooting occurred on Nov. 20, 2021, in the 900 block of North Raymond Avenue, according to the Pasadena Police Department.
Officers responded to reports of a gray Ford Fusion stopping in a parking lot across from the bedroom of Iran Moreno, police said. The car’s front passenger got out and fired two shots, one of which struck Moreno inside his bedroom, resulting his death, police said.
Investigators described the suspect as a 6-foot-1-inch-tall Black man in his 30s weighing between 185 and 195 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red and black North Face hoodie.
“Newly enhanced surveillance video revealed a partial license plate number QJ117 from the Ford Fusion,” the police department said in a statement.
Police have not disclosed a possible motive for the shooting.
