One person was found dead early Tuesday after firefighters doused a blaze at a two-story apartment building for seniors in Lancaster.
The fire was reported at 3:23 a.m. in a two-story apartment building in the 44200 block of Kingtree Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The address is the location of the Kingtree Avenue Senior Apartments.
The first crews got to the scene at 3:29 a.m. and had the fire snuffed by 3:45 a.m., a department spokesman said, adding that about 30 firefighters responded.
One person was found dead at the scene, he said.
That person’s identity was not immediately disclosed.
