Two pedestrians were killed in a fatal four-car collision in South Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Police Department reported Thursday.
LAPD officers from the department’s Newton Division were called at 2:38 a.m. Thursday to the intersection of Naomi Street and Olympic Boulevard regarding a multi-vehicle collision. When they arrived, the officers found two pedestrians, who had sustained severe injuries, LAPD Officer Norma Cervantes told City News Service.
A total of three people were taken to a hospital where two were pronounced dead, police said. The condition of the third person was not released.
The department’s Central Traffic Division will investigate the cause of the collision.
