A 14-year-girl has gone missing from West Covina and authorities Friday sought the public’s help in locating her.
According to a Feather Alert issued by the California Highway Patrol on behalf of the West Covina Police Department, Avari Pearson, whose tribal affiliation was not disclosed, was last seen about 6 p.m. April 22 the area of East Amar Road and Westport Street.
Feather Alerts stem from missing-persons investigations related specifically to indigenous people in California.
Pearson is 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.
It is unclear what she was wearing when last seen, but she is believed to be on foot.
Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts was urged to call 9-1-1.
