An at-risk 82-year-old woman who went missing in Long Beach, prompting a Silver Alert, has been found, authorities said Tuesday.
The California Highway Patrol activated the alert on behalf of the Long Beach Police Department.
Lee Ruth Bouma Bowley had last been seen around 10 a.m. Friday leaving her home near the 7800 block of East Spring Street, according to police.
She has since been located, but authorities did not release details about when or where she was found.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
