A 75-year-old man who was struck and killed by a hit-and-run vehicle in South Los Angeles was identified by authorities Friday.
The victim, who the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner identified as Gaston Moreau, was struck by a small, four-door sedan going northbound on Vermont Avenue in a marked crosswalk at 90th Street at about 9 p.m. Thursday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Moreau was pronounced dead at the scene.
The vehicle was last seen going northbound on Vermont.
