Authorities Monday released the name of a 27-year-old man who was killed when the motorcycle he was operating clipped a pickup truck, causing his bike to crash.
Aaron Lauro of Long Beach died from blunt force injuries on a sidewalk in an accident, the Medical Examiner’s office stated.
Lauro was on a 2023 Yamaha, heading north on Redondo Avenue around 10:25 p.m. June 26, when he side-swiped a pickup truck driven by a 63-year-old Lomita man, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
“The collision caused the motorcycle rider to lose control, and he then collided with the curb,” according to an LBPD statement. “The motorcycle rider was then ejected.”
The pickup driver cooperated with the investigation, and excessive speed was investigated as a possible factor in the crash, police said.
