A small brush fire burned less than an acre Wednesday in the Beverly Crest area, with no injuries or structural damage reported.

The fire, described as slow-moving, was reported about 1:30 p.m. in the 1600 block of North San Ysidro Drive, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

No homes were threatened in the hillside residential neighborhood and no evacuations were ordered, he said.

Crews from the Beverly Hills Fire Department joined LAFD crews in battling the blaze, he said.

The flames were reported fully contained at about 3 p.m.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation Wednesday afternoon.

San Ysidro Road will remain closed in both directions between Summitridge Drive and Tower Road until fire crews complete their investigation and cleanup operations.
