A vehicle struck an LAPD squad car that was at the scene of a two-vehicle crash in East Hollywood Saturday morning, authorities said.

Officers were initially dispatched at about 2:15 a.m. Saturday to a collision in the area of Santa Monica Boulevard and Kingsley Drive, according to the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Division.

Two people were taken to a hospital for injuries that were “not severe,” according to an LAPD spokesperson, who added that the motorists involved in the crash “exchanged information.”

During that investigation, at about 2:40 a.m., a vehicle struck the police squad car. It was unclear if there were any occupants inside the car at the time.

No arrests were made and no injuries were reported from that crash, he said.
