A man was fatally wounded Sunday morning in Palmdale, authorities said.

The shooting occurred about 1:20 a.m. in the 4600 block of East Avenue S, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Paramedics rushed the man to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Witnesses at the scene said the shooting took place near a Domino’s Pizza in the Palmdale Market Place shopping center, following a confrontation.

There was no other immediate information available.

This was the third Antelope Valley homicide since July 15, when a man was shot and killed at 11:50 p.m. on the 38000 block of Ninth Street East between Sierra Highway and 10th Street East. The second occurred at 8:05 p.m. Friday in the 44300 block of Cedar Avenue in Lancaster where a man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

  1. The officer didn’t want to pay for his food huh. Since the bullet was cheaper.
