A 39-year-old man suspected of attacking a former girlfriend and a second woman at a home in the unincorporated Lake Hills area Thursday was taken into custody on suspicion of attempted murder.
Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Angle Canyon Drive at approximately 2:18 a.m. Thursday to reports regarding an assault, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators identified Curtis Deshawn Lowe of Los Angeles as a person of interest.
Sheriff’s officials said the second woman managed to defend herself, inflicting injuries on Lowe.
Lowe and both victims were taken to a hospital, where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
“Through the investigation, it was learned Lowe strangled and assaulted both victims,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
Lowe was arrested and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on suspicion of two counts of attempted murder.
Anyone with information regarding the alleged assault was urged to call Investigator Mendoza at 951-272-5600.
