Police continue to ask for the public’s help identifying a driver who fatally struck a 52-year-old man riding a bicycle in North Hollywood earlier this week.
The crash occurred at 10:55 p.m. Monday on Lankershim Boulevard south of Arminta Street, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Charles Miller told City News Service.
A white pickup truck was traveling south on Lankershim when it hit the bicyclist as he attempted to cross the street, Miller said. The driver continued south without stopping to help or report the collision.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel took the bicyclist — whose name was withheld pending family notification — to a hospital, where he died.
His place of residence was not available.
The LAPD’s Valley Traffic Bureau was handling the investigation. Anyone with information was urged to call detectives at 818-644-8036 or 818-644-8033.

You got one officer standing there with eight other guys standing around them all looking at the fucking ground when they going to worry about going to look for the hit and run driver how you got 10 of them standing on a fucking corner of bitching about how did anybody see anything but how we’re going to stand here and try to figure out what’s going on right.
There’s only 1 cop in the photo who looks to be doing his job. You sound rather ignorant.
The cop in the photo looks to be doing his job. The bystanders in the photo seem to have no duty to be looking for the driver. Not sure what you’re trying to say here.
To the family, Sorry for your loss. Hope they find the driver. I imagine it would be pretty devastating to be driving along and suddenly hit someone. It would be very scary to say the least. These hit and run accidents — it could happen to any one of us.
