A man was wounded when he was shot while trying to stop another man from vandalizing property outside a home in the Central-Alameda area of Los Angeles, authorities said Saturday.
The shooting occurred at 8 p.m. Friday at 48th Street and Ascot Avenue, according to a desk officer at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center.
The 34-year-old man confronted the suspect, who shot him and fled, the officer said.
The victim was taken to a hospital by ambulance where he had stable vital signs, he said.
