A suspect allegedly carjacked a vehicle and led law enforcement officers on a chase that ended in a two-vehicle collision Monday in Indio.
Indio police responded at about 8:30 a.m. Monday to a call by Riverside County sheriff’s deputies regarding a stolen vehicle pursuit traveling eastbound on Highway 111 at Adams Street in La Quinta, with the chase continuing into Indio, according to Sgt. Abe Plata.
A few minutes later, the suspect collided with another motorist at the intersection of Highway 111 and Jackson Street in Indio, Plata said.
No injuries were reported.
The suspect, whose name was not revealed, was taken into custody by deputies.
