A 27-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly burglarizing a Pasadena Southwest Little League shed in Allendale Park, police announced Thursday.

The theft on Saturday left young ball players and coaches reeling after the suspect allegedly broke into the shed and stole tools worth about $4,000.

A security camera caught images of the man appearing to break into the league’s snack shed in the 1100 block of Marengo Avenue. Photos and video, which showed a man inspecting the inside of the shed and scouting equipment, were included with a league Facebook post decrying the burglary.

“On Wednesday,… a search warrant was served on a suspect who had a prior criminal history,” according to a Pasadena police news release. “With the assistance of video footage and public leads, Pasadena Police Department detectives and patrol personnel were able to make a swift arrest.”

The suspect was identified as Freddy Solario Jr. of Pasadena.

It was unclear exactly what was taken. The league said the thief made off with baseball gear and supplies.
