One boy was killed and two other boys were rushed to a hospital, where they were listed in critical condition after being shot in Coachella Saturday.
The shooting was reported at 3:45 a.m. Saturday in the 4900 block of Corte Molino, where deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department found three adolescent boys suffering from gunshot wounds.
Deputies rendered medical aid until paramedics arrived and attempted lifesaving measures.
One of the boys was pronounced dead at the scene, and the two other boys were rushed to a hospital in critical condition.
No arrests were immediately made and there was no suspect information immediately available.
The RCSD’s Central Homicide Unit assumed the investigation.
