A woman was shot in her left forearm when a group of suspects tried to steal her electric bicycle early Monday in Culver City.
Officers responded to the 4000 block of Sepulveda Boulevard, near Washington Place, at approximately 1 a.m. Monday, to reports regarding shots fired, according to the Culver City Police Department.
The victim, described only as a woman, was administered immediate aid by the responding officers until the arrival of Culver City Fire Department personnel, who took her to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives later determined that the woman was confronted by a group of suspects — several men and one woman — who allegedly tried to steal her electric bicycle, then shot her after she resisted and fled the scene.
Anyone with information regarding the attempted robbery or shooting was urged to contact Lt. Ryan Thompson at 310-253-6302 or email ryan.thompson@culvercity.org.
