A motorcyclist was injured Sunday in a crash on the Angeles Crest Highway (SR-2) and was airlifted to a trauma center.

The unidentified motorcycle operator went down for unknown reasons at the 50.9-mile marker in the San Gabriel Canyon area, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The department’s Special Enforcement Bureau said Air Rescue 5 landed on the roadway to treat the patient, who was then transported to a local trauma center.

The patient’s condition was not immediately known.

  1. Please let me know the patient name. My kids father was riding his bike back from Los Angeles and they have not heard from him.
