Police Thursday are continuing their investigation of an attempted burglary in the Rose Park neighborhood of Long Beach.
Officers from the Long Beach Police Department were called at approximately 7:48 p.m. Tuesday to the 900 block of Gladys Avenue, south of East 10th Street, regarding a shooting, the police department said.
The preliminary investigation indicates that two men were attempting to burglarize a male victim’s home. The victim fired a gun at them and the suspects fled in a vehicle, according to police.
As they drove away, one of the suspects shot back. The suspects’ vehicle collided with another, and they ran away from the scene, police said.
No injuries were reported and the investigation is ongoing.
