A career fair geared to women interested in making law enforcement their chosen profession will be hosted by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department later this month.
The agency will hold a “Women’s Employment Expo” on Sept. 27, beginning at 9 a.m. and wrapping up around 1 p.m., at the Moreno Valley Conference & Recreation Center, 14075 Frederick St.
“This is an excellent opportunity to explore various career options within the … sheriff’s office and gain valuable insights into the roles and responsibilities each position entails,” according to the sheriff’s announcement.
Positions profiled will include patrol deputies, correctional deputies, community service officers, dispatchers and documents clerks, officials said.
“There will be a chance to learn more about day-to-day responsibilities and experiences,” the sheriff’s department stated. “There will be panel discussions and guest speakers, who will provide detailed information on different career paths.”
Recruits who have an immediate interest will be guided through the initial stage of the application process, officials said.
