A 23-year-old pedestrian who was killed in a hit-and-run collision in Venice was identified Wednesday.

The man was crossing Washington at Lincoln boulevards in a marked crosswalk on Sept. 20 at around 2 a.m. when he was hit by a blue SUV, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The driver of the SUV allegedly failed to stop and render aid as required by law. The vehicle was last seen fleeing eastbound on Washington Boulevard, police said.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene and provided immediate medical attention to the victim. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, the LAPD said.

He was identified Wednesday by the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner as Neo Moroke.

A reward of up to $50,000 has been authorized by the Los Angeles City Council to community members who provide information leading to the identification, apprehension and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise of drivers in fatal hit-and-run accidents.
