A man was hospitalized in critical condition after being shot in Cabazon Wednesday and a 43-year-old suspect was taken into custody.
Deputies assigned to the Cabazon Sheriff’s Station responded around 2:10 p.m. Wednesday to the 49000 block of Seminole Drive to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim was discovered upon the arrival of deputies with multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to a hospital by medical first responders, where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
Investigators identified the suspect as Anthony Edward Cuenca of Chino Hills.
His vehicle was later found near Seminole Drive and Malki Road, where he was taken into custody.
The shooting remains under an ongoing investigation led by the Cabazon Investigations Bureau.
