Authorities sought the public’s assistance Wednesday in locating an at-risk 12-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy who were both last seen in Compton.

Jaiden Anthony Jones and Jordynn Jones were last seen around 3:55 p.m. Sept. 24 in the 1900 block of East Palmer Street, between Long Beach Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The relationship between the two children, if any, remains unknown.

Jaiden was described as a 4-foot-5-inch tall Black boy weighing approximately 80 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. It was unclear what he was wearing the time he was reported missing.

Jordynn was described as a 4-foot-8-inch-tall Black girl with black hair and brown eyes. The clothing she was last seen wearing also remains unknown.

Sheriff’s officials said the family of the two children is growing increasingly concerned about their well-being and is seeking the public’s help in finding them.

Anyone with information regarding the children’s whereabouts was urged to call Compton Sheriff’s Station Detective J. Harris at 562-547-8888 or the on-duty watch commander at 310-605-6500. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or visit lacrimestoppers.org.
