A man who was shot and killed in the unincorporated East Los Angeles neighborhood of City Terrace was identified Saturday by county authorities.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded at 8:20 p.m. Thursday to 1126 N. Hazard Avenue, east of Dobsion Street and City Terrace Park, regarding a gunshot victim, said homicide Lt. Christopher Oakley.
When they arrived, deputies encountered a man now identified as Rodolfo Grijalva, 39, suffering from gunshot wounds. They provided medical aid until Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel arrived.
Grijalva was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the LASD.
Deputies later learned a second man had been taken to a hospital with gunshot wounds and was in critical, but stable condition, authorities said.
