A fire destroyed a mobile home on the north end of Green Acres Monday, displacing the two occupants, neither of whom was injured.
The blaze was reported at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the 35500 block of Beverley Drive, near Truelson Avenue, in the unincorporated community located just west of Hemet, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The agency said multiple engine crews were sent to the location and encountered flames raging in the double-wide trailer, from which the two adult residents had safely escaped.
Firefighters quickly deployed hose lays, preventing the blaze from jumping into surrounding brush, according to officials at the scene. At 11:05 a.m., the fire was declared 100% contained, and it was completely extinguished by 11:30 a.m.
Red Cross personnel were requested to assist the man and woman residing at the location with finding temporary alternate lodgings. Their identities were not disclosed.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
