A pedestrian is hospitalized with severe injuries Tuesday after they were struck by a vehicle in the Vermont-Knolls neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Los Angeles Police Department officers responded at approximately 8:24 p.m. Monday to reports of a vehicle colliding with a pedestrian at the intersection of Gage and Vermont avenues, west of the Harbor (110) Freeway, an LAPD spokesman told City News Service.
The victim was taken to a hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel in serious condition, police said.
The driver remained at the scene and was interviewed by police.
