A pedestrian was fatally struck on the San Diego (405) Freeway Monday in the Westchester area.
The crash was reported at 11:16 p.m. Sunday on the southbound San Diego Freeway just south of La Tijera Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A white Kia Soul crossover SUV reportedly struck the pedestrian, whose name, age and gender were not immediately released.
A SigAlert was issued at 11:39 p.m., shutting down the southbound lanes, with traffic diverted onto the La Cienega/Manchester boulevards off-ramp while the CHP investigated the crash. The SigAlert was cancelled at about 2:30 a.m.
