A pedestrian was killed by a vehicle in Wildomar Saturday, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department announced.
Deputies responded to the area of Sedco Boulevard and Mission Trail at around 7:30 a.m. Saturday to a report of a pedestrian versus vehicle crash. They found a man in the roadway suffering from significant injuries and attempted life-saving measures, but he was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, according to the sheriff’s department.
The Lake Elsinore station’s traffic team assumed the investigation. Alcohol and drugs were not believed to be a factor in the crash, authorities said.
The identity of the pedestrian was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
