A 51-year-old man was hospitalized after being shot Sunday in the Wilmington area of Los Angeles.
The shooting occurred at 4:19 p.m. Sunday at 1211 W. C St., just east of the Harbor (110) Freeway, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.
The victim was with a group when two men between the ages 18 and 20 approached on foot, he said. One opened fire on the group, wounding the man before running away.
The victim, whose name was withheld, was taken to a hospital by ambulance and had stable vital signs, the spokesman said.
The shooting was believed gang-related, he said.
