A fire broke out Friday at a two-story residence in Banning before it was knocked down.
The non-injury blaze was reported about 8:25 a.m. Friday in the 3900 block of Ramsey Street, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The agency stated that crews encountered heavy smoke coming from the second floor, and it was contained to the room in about 10 minutes.
Crews will remain at the scene for an additional hour performing salvage and overhaul.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
