A fire that erupted in a clinic on the west end of Riverside caused major damage but no injuries, authorities said Wednesday.
The blaze was reported shortly after midnight Wednesday at 7254 Magnolia Ave., near Mariella Street, according to the Riverside Fire Department.
Battalion Chief Matt Stibal said five engine crews and two truck companies, numbering more than two dozen personnel, were sent to the two-alarm fire and found the orthopedic care clinic “fully involved” with flames.
“Crews deployed hose lines and established a defensive perimeter,” Stibal said.
While the blaze was contained to the one structure, extinguishing it took almost two hours, according to the battalion chief.
The business was completely destroyed.
The cause of the fire was under investigation Wednesday.
Anyone with information was asked to contact the fire department at 951-826-5321.
