A 62-year-old man riding a motorcycle died from his injuries after colliding with a vehicle in Indio, authorities said Monday.

The crash was reported around 4:10 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Calhoun Street and Avenue 42, according to the Indio Police Department.

A 20-year-old man driving a Honda sedan crashed with the motorcycle. The circumstances behind the collision was not immediately available.

The motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, where he was pronounced dead.

The Riverside County coroner’s office identified the deceased on Monday as Jerry Bradley of Indio.

The Honda driver cooperated with investigators at the scene. Drugs and/or alcohol do not appear to be factors in the collision, police said.
