A bicyclist was struck by a vehicle and killed in the predawn hours Thursday morning in a hit-and-run crash in Boyle Heights.
The collision was reported about 5:20 a.m. at the intersection of Boyle Avenue and Seventh Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
No description was immediately available of the vehicle, which had been southbound on Boyle Avenue and was turning onto westbound Seventh Street when it struck the rider, who was pronounced dead at the scene, policed said.
Reports from the scene showed a white pop-up tent set up in the intersection.
