A 75-year-old woman who was fatally struck by a hit-and-run vehicle in Pacoima was identified by the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office Monday.
The crash occurred at about 5:50 p.m. Friday in the area of Van Nuys Boulevard and Glenoaks Avenue, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
Killed in the crash was Thelma Moreno, a resident of Pacoima.
A black Dodge Durango traveling eastbound on Van Nuys Boulevard, east of Glenoaks, struck Moreno as she was crossing the street. The vehicle continued eastbound on Van Nuys Boulevard without stopping, police said.
Arriving paramedics pronounced Moreno dead at the scene.
