Police Saturday are continuing their search for two suspects accused of fatally shooting a man at the Westfield Culver City Mall.
Culver City Police Department officers responded shortly before 8 p.m. Friday to reports of shots fired in the 6000 block of Sepulveda Boulevard, according to a spokeswoman for the Culver City Police Department.
Detectives determined after a preliminary investigation that a man had sustained a gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead.
Officers established a containment to locate two suspects.
Culver City spokeswoman Jennifer Atenza said at a news conference that a firearm was recovered at the scene.
Police said additional resources were responding to the location to assist with the investigation. The motive for the shooting was not provided.
