A burglary suspect who is barricaded inside a home in Pacoima, where the residents were able to safely escape, is surrounded by Los Angeles Police Department officers , the LAPD said Thursday.
Officers responded at 2:40 a.m. Thursday to reports of a burglary in the 13200 block of Pinney Street, north of Van Nuys Boulevard. When they arrived at the scene, officers learned the residents of the home were able to safely leave the residence unharmed, an LAPD spokesman told City News Service.
A SWAT team was contacted to assist the officers at the scene and to begin possible surrender negotiations with the suspect, police said.
