A 30-year-old man was killed and a 27-year-old man critically injured when a car hit a pole in Pacoima Friday evening
Firefighters arrived at the intersection of Paxton Street and San Fernando Road around 8:20 p.m. Friday after receiving reports of the crash, according to Jennifer Middleton of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The 30-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, Middleton
The 27-year-old man was freed from the car and taken to a trauma center in critical condition, Middleton said.
An approximately 39-year-old woman sustained minor injuries and was not expected to be taken to a hospital, according to Middleton.
Personnel from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Foothill Division are investigating what led up to the crash.
