A fire that erupted Tuesday in an eatery on the east end of Perris caused significant damage but no injuries.
The blaze was reported shortly before 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Farmer Boys in the 100 block of the Ramona Expressway, between North Perris Boulevard and Redlands Avenue, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The agency said multiple engine crews were sent to the location and encountered “smoke and heavy fire through the roof.”
All of the restaurant’s employees and patrons evacuated unharmed.
Firefighters contained the blaze within an hour, preventing extensions into neighboring businesses, according to reports from the scene.
Crews were expected to complete mopping up in and around the structure by nightfall.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
